Did I interrupt my own wedding to take a photo of my husband?

I mean, yeah.

My name is Shelly, and I tell stories—visually and verbally. And I wasn’t about to miss out on an opportunity to recreate the photo that changed my entire life. At one of my last weddings of the season in 2014, I was snapping portraits of the groomsmen when one particularly burly red beard caught my eye. I keep those two photos, taken three years apart, side by side as a reminder of how significant the art of storytelling can be.

While I was documenting someone else’s story, I was unknowingly writing my own.

That’s what I do. I tell stories with cameras, and words, and I’d love to tell yours.

If you’ve ever panic-Googled “the witching hour,” we’ve already met.

It’s my one claim to fame. That and Ewan McGregor once responded to a tweet I meant to send to my friend, McKenzie.

Your personal brand, in living color.

Or black and white. Maybe a sepia. It really depends on your vibe. We’ll work together to find it. And then we’ll sell the sh!t out of it.
